A little about me...
I moved to Red Wing with my partner Earl in 2020 from White Bear Lake where I had my massage practice since 2014. We remodeled the new house to include a professional space on the main floor for massage. I am nationally board certified, I have over 1000 hours in training from CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu School in St. Louis Park, MN. My technical courses included Swedish, Advanced Swedish, Advanced Therapeutic, Shiatsu Anma, Namikoshi Shiatsu, Hot Stone, Spa & Resort Techniques, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) Core & Extremities, Thai Yoga Massage, Advanced posterior & anterior therapeutic neck, Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy, and Special Populations including pregnancy, geriatrics, cancer, and trauma and abuse. Those courses are supported by extensive coursework in anatomy, physiology, pathology and kinesiology. I am also certified in first aid and CPR. For a deeper understanding of eastern styles of medicine and in learning the meridians and accu-pressure points on the body, I studied Foundations of Chinese Medicine. My regular continuing education courses help me to stay informed of current research and techniques for wellness and healing.
I enjoy volunteering at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, downhill skiing, cooking, bird-watching and astronomy. Before I changed my career to bodywork, the landscaping industry was my focus. I designed gardens, volunteered as a master gardener, and worked as a horticulturist and tree inspector. It is amazing to me after taking my massage coursework and my coursework at the U of M in plant pathology, biochemistry, and plant physiology how many parallels there are at the cellular level. Nature is my biggest passion and grounds my soul.
